If you haven't already created a MyComet Account, you will need to before continuing since all the courses are on that system and without a login you will not be able to Book a place.

Garda Vetting
mandatory to renew every 3 years
When completing your Garda Vetting you will need to download the Garda Vetting ID Validation form from the FAI website.
Print the form, fill in your details and get an authorised person such as club secretary to sign it.
Scan the form, and upload it along with the ID documents required on the Garda Vetting checklist.
You should receive an email from the National Vetting Bureau within a couple of days. When received, complete the second part the application online. (There is a time limit of 1 month to do this).
Note: it can take a few weeks before this email arrives, so if you do not receive please ask Children Welfare Office for help in checking.
If there are any errors with the forms, the forms will be emailed back to the applicant.
When the process is complete, you will receive an email - FAI Garda Vetting Completion Letter.
Once received please send a copy of the letter to the Club Child Welfare officer for record.
Safe Guarding 1
mandatory to renew every 3 years
Safeguarding Courses tend to be run online nowadays. You can find them on the FAI Learning website https://faiconnect.ie/mycomet/private/seminars in the search bar type in safeguarding 1 - online. That should filter the available courses for you.
Check to see which courses have places available on a date that will suit your before booking.
If you have completed a Safeguarding1 course Face to Face/or through Zoom you can do an alternative refresher course which will extend expiry date for 3 years.
