Our final session for 2024 and great to see the numbers Turing out week in, week out and the improvements the players have made over the course of the year.

The Junior Rovers programme is a crucial starting point for our young players getting them acquainted with the ball, the coaches and their teammates that hopefully they will grow up playing alongside for years to come.

Our programme runs on Sundays from March-October for boys and girls aged 4-8 at our fantastic, modern Astro pitch at Leckview Park.

Our experienced, qualified coaches focus on the FUNdamentals of the game of football transferring a love of the game to the children in a fun, inclusive, safe environment.
Our focus is on ball mastery skills, Agility, Balance and Co-ordination (ABCs) and age appropriate small sided games. Its about enjoyment, learning new skills and making new friends.

What is Junior Rovers?

Junior Rovers is an underage football event hosted by Letterkenny Rovers every Sunday morning from 10-11am at Leckview Park Astro. It provides young football enthusiasts with an opportunity to develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

How do I register my child for Junior Rovers?

You can register your child online on the club website.Click here to go directly to registration. 

What does the registration fee include?

This year players will get a Club Jersey and a football, a sample is below.

Where can I get fitted for the club jersey?

Details on sizes are included below.
Any offical club gear can be purchased in Brian McCormicks Sports Store. If unsure of sizes for your child you should drop into the shop to get measured. 

When will the club jersey and football be ready for collection?

We will be placing orders in batches on 27th February, 13th March and 27th March. 

Once they are ready, they will be delivered to the club. Parents can collect them when they next attend a Junior Rovers session on Sunday mornings.

Generally allow at least 3 weeks for delivery from the order date.

Can I register my child if they cannot attend every Sunday morning session?

Yes, you can still register your child for Junior Rovers even if they cannot attend every session. However, we encourage regular attendance to fully benefit from the program.

What age group is Junior Rovers for?

Junior Rovers is open to children of all skill levels aged 4-8years old.

Sunday 22nd October we wrapped up the 2023 Junior Rovers Season which is sponsored by Century Complex. It was an amazing year and great to see  such big numbers turning up every Sunday. Thanks to the parents and to our own club coaches who gave up their time to do a brilliant job.

Huge thanks also to all the team at Century Complex including Chantelle Grant and Mark Doherty for their sponsorship. We are delighted to work in partnership with our neighbours!

The final session concluded with a presentation where each kid received a club certificate, a club medal, a Century Play pass and a party bag.

It’s been great fun having everyone down on Sunday morning enjoying the benefits of our new Astro pitch and we look forward to seeing you all again in Spring 2024 as we have some new ideas in store!
