LECKVIEW PARK DEVELOPMENT DRAW
It has been a hectic few years for the club as we completed work on our new astroturf pitch and I’m sure you’ll all agree it has been a fine addition to Leckview Park which has benefitted everyone.
This project cost in the region of €500,000 and we are very appreciative of the support of our club members and local community which ensured we were able to get the job done.
As well as hosting all our club training and various matches, the new state of the art pitch has been used to host programmes such as the
-
Junior Rovers
(boys and girls aged 4-8)
-
Football For All
(people with a disability)
-
UEFA Disney Playmakers
(first steps in football for girls aged 5-8)
The pitch has also hosted the
-
Donegal Women’s team
in the National Women’s League, -
Derry City
in the National underage leagues, -
Premier League club Everton
who held a week long summer camp - as well as matches involving local schools and community groups.
However, the hard work for the club doesn’t stop there as we continue our plans looking to upgrade our main grass pitch.
The primary purpose of this is to improve the drainage to ensure the pitch is playable all year round particularly through those tough winter months when rainfall is at its heaviest.
We also want to carry out preparatory work for the installation of floodlights in the near future as well.
So, as we launch our annual draw for 2022, we are hoping you can again support our fundraising efforts by purchasing a ticket available at 3 for €20. Alternatively, single tickets are available at €10.
