Letterkenny United U12 Development faced off against Mulroy Celts in White Strand on Thursday night. Battling against heavy winds and rain in a very tightly contested game.
Mulroy were first to go ahead after a slip up on the Letterkenny United back line, converting the opportunity effortlessly. Letterkenny came back strong going 2 - 1 up at the end of the first half courtesy of goals from Jack Robb and Tiarnan Connolly.
With the wind and rain against them it was a very tough second half.
Conceding a penalty, but keeping Mulroy from converting with an outstanding save from Noah Wilkie.
A special mention for Evan Kilcawley who picked up man of the Match for an outstanding performance. Defending play, showing strong physicality and making plays to secure the point away from home.
