Letterkenny Rovers 2-5 Bonagee Utd
Goalscorers for Rovers: Savana Keys , Amy Moore
Sophie Doherty’s wonderful free kick on 12mins got the scoring underway for Bonagee. This was shortly followed by a Sophie Doherty in-swinging corner straight into the goal.
Savana Keys pulled one back for Rovers with her long range shot. Aoibhlinn McCauley scored from a goal mouth scramble extending the lead for Bonagee. Then, just on the halftime whistle Sophie Doherty stepped up again to hit one of her excellent free kicks.
In the second half Rovers girls got to grips with Bonagee and Amy Moore ran onto a long ball slotting into the corner of the Bonagee net. A few minutes later Aoiblinn McCauley hit a shot high to the Rovers net.
Encouraging to hear the positive attitude from the girls and alot of positives to take from the game in their debut season. Well done all.
