Letterkenny Rovers 3 - 2 Kilmacrennan Celtic

Goalscorers: Blake Meridith, Colm Og Breathnach, Calum McLaughlin

Rovers came out on top in a cracking game at the Aura. Kilmacrennan hit the woodwork twice in the opening exchanges but Rovers had their chances too with both Sean Gallagher and Colm Og Breathnach having great chances to open the scoring. Rovers scored midway through the half when Sean Gallagher was dragged down in the box.

Blake Meridith's penalty was well saved but he calmly slotted him the rebound. Kilmac equalised soon after when Rovers didnt deal with a cross from the right and it was turned in

Rovers started stronger in the second half and scored 5 minutes in when Colm Og turned in a Calum McLaughlin's header.

Rovers continued to press with Adam Dwyer having the best of the chances to extend their lead but Kilmacrennan equalised against the run of play when a well struck free kick found the back of the net.

Rovers continued to create the better chances in an end to end last 15 minutes and it was Calum McLaughlin who got on the end of a glorious Jack O Donnell pass to smash home the winner 5 minutes from time.

U14 PREMIER DIVISION

Letterkenny Rovers 1  - 2 Lagan Harps

Lagan came out on top in a scrappy affair played in rough conditions at Leckview.

Rovers started the stronger but couldn't turn their dominance into goals

Lagan scored against the run of play when a Lagan clearance from a Rovers corner wasn't dealt with and Drew Dowds  raced through to score. Lagan were lifted by the goal  and only a fine Charlie Martin save stopped Dowds from grabbing a second before halftime.

Lagan went two up midway through the second half when Rovers failed to clear their lines and a McGinley shot hit the crossbar only for Drew Dowds to slot home the rebound. Lagan nearly had a third but Martin made another fine save.

Rovers rallied and Captain Calum McLaughlin slotted home his fifth goal in three games from a Blake Meridith freekick.

Temple Akpo had two chances late on to equalise but just couldn't find the target and with Lagan defending resolutely they held out for a good away win
