Weekending 5th May 2024

U14 PREMIER DIVISION

Letterkenny Rovers 4 - 2 Dunfanaghy Youths

Goalscorers: Jamie Gorman, Denzel Taku, Colm OgBreathnach, Thalji Al Daher

Rovers dominated large portions of the game, but it was Dunfanaghy that got the opener from a run against play and finished well by McGinley.

Rovers first goal came from a Jamie Gorman run combining with Colm OgBreathnach and Gorman getting on the end of it again behind the defense line and finishing.

Moments later it was Dunfanaghy to strike again when McGuiness won possession wide and managed to run through Rovers and place the ball in the net.

Rovers continued to create loads of chances but finding the net was proving difficult.

They did get the chance to level it before half time when Denzel Taku received in the box and with still some work to do managed to get the space needed to shoot the ball home.

It was all even at the halftime break 2-2.

The second half seen Rovers continue to threaten the Dunfanaghy defense with them staying deep and clearing well in the middle. 14mins in Colm OgBreathnach created space for himself edge of the 18yard box and scored. 25 minutes in and Thalji Al Daher got the fourth goal for Rovers from a long range effort.

Plenty of positives in the opportunities being created and areas for the team to focus on imporving.

U14 FIRST DIVISION

Illistrin United 4 - 3 Letterkenny Crusaders

Goalscorers: Josh McHugh x2, David Alamu

U14 SECOND DIVISION

Glenea Aointhe 2 - 0 Letterkenny United

We travelled to Glenea on Sunday and feel very unlucky. Team had a better 2nd half just couldn't get break though they wanted. Shout out to Aron Dermody who was in nets for Letterkenny United and pulled off a few cracking saves.

U14 GIRLS

Letterkenny Rovers 2 - 5 Bonagee United
