Glencar Celtic 0–6 Letterkenny Rovers

1st November 2025. Aura Leisure Center Astro pitch.

Letterkenny Rovers turned in a dominant performance at the Aura to record an emphatic 6–0 win over Glencar Celtic in Donegal Junior League Division 1 action.

Rovers started purposefully and went ahead early when Jordan Nugent followed up after his initial effort was blocked by the Glencar keeper. The visitors doubled their advantage before half-time with a fine overhead kick from Adejide Alawiye after good build-up play between Caolan Kelly and Gareth Temple.

Glencar had moments of promise, most notably when Denis McCauley and Ultan McMullan combined to test Roy Duffy, but the Rovers goalkeeper was alert to gather.

After the break, a foul in the box gave Rovers a penalty, and Nugent made no mistake from the spot to make it 3–0. Paddy Collins soon added a fourth, racing through the defence to finish confidently.

Substitutes made an immediate impact, with Volodymyr Kovalchuk side-stepping a defender before finding the far corner, and Kieran Tobin calmly finishing late on to wrap up the scoring.

Glencar, who worked hard throughout, were well-marshalled by captain Ultan McMullan and had solid contributions from defenders Conor Gallagher and Joshua Patton, but they found Rovers’ tempo and movement difficult to contain.

Letterkenny Rovers will take plenty of positives from the display, with strong performances across the pitch — particularly from Jordan Nugent, Gareth Temple, and Caolan Kelly — helping secure a convincing victory and another valuable three points.
