Letterkenny Rovers emerged 2–1 winners away to Kildrum Tigers on 9 November 2025, edging a tight Brian McCormick Sports Premier Division clash at Station Road.

Played in bright autumn conditions, the game began at a high tempo with Kildrum on the front foot and the hosts initially believing they had taken an early lead, only for an offside flag to cut the celebrations short. Rovers settled into the contest and gradually imposed themselves, using set pieces and quick breaks to ask questions of the Kildrum back line.

Rovers made the breakthrough from a corner, the delivery causing chaos in the six‑yard box before a Kildrum defender diverted the ball into his own net to give the visitors a slender interval lead. Both sides carved out further half chances before the break, but disciplined defending and solid goalkeeping ensured it remained 1–0 at half-time.

Kildrum responded strongly after the restart, pinning Rovers back for long spells and eventually drawing level when the home side reacted quickest to a rebound, Keenan Diver steering the loose ball home from close range. The hosts then went close to a turnaround goal, only for a last‑ditch clearance on the line to keep Rovers in the game.

With the contest seemingly heading for a draw, Rovers struck late on, Padraic Gilsenan finding the net with a composed finish despite home appeals for offside. The visitors saw out the remaining minutes to secure a valuable away win and three important league points against one of their closest rivals.
