The final of the Kieran McGrath cup took place under good conditions at Swilly Park on Wednesday 15th May against Bonagee Utd.
Rovers started the better and for the first twenty minutes were creating chances. However Bonagee managed to score and the momentum shifted from there on.
Final score Letterkenny Rover 0 - 5 Bonagee Utd. The team move on now to focus on the league which kicks off next week.
U16 Crusaders
Letterkenny Crusaders delivered another strong performance against Lurgy, dominating the first half with goals from David Mathew J and Cristian.
The second half was more balanced, with Lurgy pulling one back midway through.
However, the Crusaders sealed the win with a late goal from Kaio Marino five minutes before the final whistle.
The match ended 4-1 in favor of the Crusaders.
Player of the Match: Ruben Carey, who made several outstanding saves to keep Lurgy at bay.


U14 United
Letterkenny United vs. Illistrin Allstars
On May 14, 2025, U14 United secured a narrow victory against Illistrin Allstars in their league match at Corry Park, marking the team's third consecutive win in the Under 14 2nd Division.
U14 United initially took the lead through a well-executed goal from Gerard Chukwuneke following a slick passing sequence. However, Illistrin Allstars responded just before halftime to level the score.
After making several substitutions at halftime, U14 United showed significant improvement in the second half. The midfield duo of Cormac and Lorcan O Doherty effectively controlled play, and it was a through ball from Chukwuneke that led to substitute Moatacem (Max) Bellah Bourara scoring United's decisive second goal, sealing the match for the visitors.
U14 United emerged victorious with a final score of 2-1, enhancing their position in the league standings.
U12 Athletic
Letterkenny Athletic 6- 0 Ballyraine Celtic
Athletic made it 3 wins from 3 against a previously unbeaten Ballyraine Celtic in scorching conditions at the Aura. Athletic started strongly, and Shay McLaughlin opened the scoring with a fine finish early on. Further goals from Zac Doherty, Kacper Niewiadomski and Lopsy Adeyemi made it 4 nil at half time.
The heat played a part in slowing the pace down in the second half, but Athletic still continued to create chances. Lopsy scored 2 fine goals to complete his hatrick and a fine win for the boys. Ballyraine must be commended for competing well throughout in very warm conditions.

U12 Girls
A perfect evening for football saw our U12 girls take on Illistrin in a thrilling friendly packed with goals—over 10 shared between both sides.
It was a match made for the spectators, showcasing the continued progress of both teams. Players from the U10s also stepped up and impressed with their skill and effort.
On a night like this, football was the real winner.
Well done to everyone involved⚽️


U12 Rovers
Bonagee 1 - 3 Letterkenny Rovers
Letterkenny Rovers maintained their impressive form with a well-earned 3-1 victory over Bonagee.
They struck early when Femi Gallagher pounced on a rebound after Finn Dillon’s free kick rattled the crossbar. Their second came shortly after, as Shane O’Donnell finished confidently from a superb right-wing cross by Mason Oliver.

Bonagee responded strongly and grabbed a deserved goal just before the break to keep themselves in the contest.
The second half was closely fought, with both goalkeepers making crucial saves. But it was Rovers who found the net again, with Charlie Lynch calmly finishing after a great run and cross from Zach McKinley on 45 minutes.
Patrick Lavin delivered an outstanding performance, rounding off a solid all-round display from the visitors.
U12 United
Letterkenny United took on Mulroy Celts this morning in glorious conditions at Rabs Park. After a slow start, United opened the scoring with David Olaniyan finding the net after 9 minutes after some impressive play on the wing from Victor Ogunade. Another goal from Olaniyan on 17 minutes and one from Ogunade on 22 minutes had United going into the interval on top. Another goal early in the 2nd half by Ogunade from a Jackson McLean assist and 2 late goals again from Olaniyan gave United the 3 points. Best for United were David Olaniyan, Victor Ogunade and Michael Harkin but MOTM goes to Victor Ogunade for a fine performance on the wings.
