It was a toughly contested battle in Goose Green for the Donegal Underage League U14 First Division Cup Final between Letterkenny Crusaders and Ballyraine. The first half seen Ballyraine with large portions of the possession and looked the stronger, creating most chances and leading 2 nil.
The second half Crusaders came out and fought for everything, clawing back the lead with a goal from Luke Elliot, followed by another by Sean O'Doherty, levelling the scoring to 2 - 2 in what looked certain to be going to a penalty shoot out.
However, in the final minute of play Crusaders got the breakthrough with a shot on goal by Blue Jay which was saved by the keeper only for the alertness of Kasper Sutowicz who followed through to collect the spilling ball and stick it in the net.
A great turnaround of events and well done to all the players for the hard work they put in battling all the way to the end.
Result: Letterkenny Crusaders 3 - 2 Ballyraine.
