The club is delighted to announce Jonnie McGroarty as Lead Player Development Coach for 11-14 year olds.
Jonnie, who holds a UEFA C licence coaching qualification, has a long association with the club having served as a player at Leckview Park during a distinguished career.
He is now a highly regarded and successful coach having cut his teeth with Swilly Rovers schoolboys teams before moving on to work with the Donegal Schoolboys League 2007 squad for 3 years.
“I’m delighted to be ‘back home’ and I’m excited by the role and ready for the new challenge”, says Jonnie.
“I will be working with the various age groups and can’t wait to get started. It’s a great time to be re-joining the club again with the new astroturf pitch opening shortly and I know the club have other exciting development plans as well.”
Jonnie will work alongside Martin Fox who was appointed Youth Development Officer and Coaching Co-ordinator last September.
