U16 SFAI CUP SEMI-FINAL

Letterkenny Rovers 4 - 0 Swilly Rovers

Letterkenny Rovers U16s progressed to the Ulster SFAI Cup final after an impressive performance under the lights at Leckview Park against Swilly Rovers. The early breakthrough came from Jakub Zabillo, who finished well after capitalising on a rebound. Colm Óg Bhreatnach then doubled the advantage, converting a cross into the net. In the second half, Marcin Pirch's determined run resulted in a penalty, and Thalji Al Daher confidently converted from the spot. Matthew Junior Odekun rounded off the scoring with a well-taken goal from the edge of the box.

Marcin Pirch was named Player of the Match for his outstanding contribution. The team now look ahead to facing Cappry in the Ulster final.

U12 Champions league Final

Letterkenny Rovers’ under-12s showed real character in the Champions League final but were beaten 4–0 by Ballybofey United at a wet and windy Finn Valley Centre on Friday 21 November 2025.

In testing conditions under the lights, Rovers settled well and were very competitive throughout a tight opening half. The team created a couple of good chances and forced the Ballybofey goalkeeper into important saves, while the defence coped well with a series of attacks and set pieces.

After the interval the game tilted in Ballybofey’s favour as they began to take advantage of their pressure in the final third. Rovers continued to work hard but the opposition found the net on four occasions, giving the final scoreline a much more one-sided look than the overall pattern of play suggested.

Despite the disappointment, the group kept going right to the final whistle and continued to look for a way back into the contest. Reaching the final is a significant marker for this squad, and the experience of playing a showpiece match at Finn Valley will be invaluable as they move forward in the club’s underage pathway
