U12 Ulster SFAI Semi Final

Illistrin 0 – 3 Letterkenny Rovers

On a cold November morning at Corry Park, our Under-12 Rovers side booked their place in the SFAI Cup Ulster Final.

Illistrin began brightly and enjoyed plenty of early possession, but the Rovers backline stood strong. As the half reached its midpoint, Rovers started to settle into their rhythm, moving the ball well and creating promising chances. On the 20-minute mark, Femi Gallagher was denied by the post after a great team move involving Mason Oliver, Alfie Gallagher and Zach McKinley. Charlie Lynch reacted quickest to the rebound, finishing confidently to give Rovers a 1–0 lead at the break.

The second half saw Rovers take control with some excellent team play. Patrick Lavin threaded a precise through ball to Charlie Lynch, who finished smartly to double the advantage. With ten minutes remaining, Zach McKinley made it 3–0, converting a fine cross from Kacper Niewiadomski after strong play from James McLaughlin.

Both James and Charlie were unlucky to be denied by the woodwork late on, as the team finished with a complete all-round performance after a composed effort throughout.

A fantastic team display from start to finish. Ulster Final, here we come!
