U7 blitz

A beautiful summer evening set the scene for a fantastic game of football as our Letterkenny Rovers 2019s welcomed Glen Rovers 2018s for a friendly.

Both teams played with great energy, teamwork and smiles throughout, making for an enjoyable evening for everyone watching. It was another brilliant example of what grassroots football is all about.

The highlight of the evening was a special visit from former League of Ireland star Raffaele Cretaro, who generously gave up some of his free time while in Letterkenny delivering an FAI coaching course. Raff, who starred for Sligo Rovers, Galway United, Finn Harps and Bohemians, put our young players through a coaching session before staying to watch the match. His time, encouragement and passion for the game were hugely appreciated by everyone.

A big thank you to Glen Rovers for a great evening of football, and a special thanks to Raff for making it one to remember.
