⚫️ 2019 BLITZ AT LECKVIEW PARK ⚫️
A fantastic evening of football at Leckview Park yesterday as our Letterkenny Rovers 2019s welcomed Illistrin 2019s for a brilliant blitz.
There was plenty of great football on display throughout, with lots of goals, exciting attacking play, good defending and some fantastic individual moments from both groups. Most importantly, the boys and girls enjoyed plenty of football and a great evening together. ⚽️👏
A massive thank you to Illistrin 2019s and their coaches for joining us and helping to make it such an enjoyable blitz.
DWL All-County Blitz
The girls represented the club brilliantly today as Letterkenny Rovers and Letterkenny Crusaders took part in the final DWL All-County Blitz of the season.
Both squads brought great numbers, energy and determination, building on the progress made week after week.
Across the games, the players showed the core skills they have been developing: sharp passing, clever movement, confident communication and improved scanning to support better decisions on the ball.
There were plenty of examples of teamwork, brave defending, positive attacking play and goals to celebrate.
It has been a fantastic season of learning and development for this group. Every blitz, training session and challenge has helped the girls become stronger, more confident and more connected as teammates.
With one more regular DWL blitz still to come, the coaches are proud of the progress the girls have made and look forward to seeing them finish the season positively.
U14 Crusaders
The Crusaders finished their league campaign on a high today with a strong, confident team performance against Lurgy Celtic. The game was played in a great spirit, with both sides showing commitment and respect throughout.
Crusaders moved the ball well, remained organised and worked hard for one another across the pitch. Goals came from Filip Blaszczok, Tiarnan Connolly, Jopello Adeyemi, Max Bowden, Anthony McGarrigle and Jessie George-Gbagi, with each finish reflecting the teamwork shown throughout the performance.
A proud way to close out the league campaign. Onwards together.

U14 Rovers
Illistrin 0–1 Letterkenny Rovers
Letterkenny Rovers earned an important away victory in the U14 Premier Division.
Illistrin started brightly in the opening stages, but Rovers gradually settled into the match and began to create opportunities. Strong link-up play involving James Davidson, Ade and Mostafa opened up the defence, with Jake finishing confidently under pressure to give Rovers the lead.
The second half was closely contested, with little to separate the sides. Rovers showed excellent defensive resilience to protect their advantage and secure all three points.
Well done to all the players and coaches on a hard-earned team performance. #uptherovers
U12 Rovers
Illistrin FC 0-5 Letterkenny Rovers
Our u12 premier boys made the short trip to neighbours Illistrin for an early kickoff this morning.
Goals from Shane O’Donnell x2, Zach McKinley, Mason Oliver and Charlie Lynch secured the points in a commanding performance from start to finish.
U12 Wanderers
Wanderers recorded a positive result in their penultimate U12 Division 3 league fixture against Strand Rovers at Aura Back Pitch.
Goals from Jude Lynch, Shaun Crossan, Scott Margey, Peter Coyle Kelly and Corey Lynch contributed to a strong team performance as the squad continues its league campaign.
U12 United
Ballyraine were the visitors to the Aura this morning for Letterkenny United’s final league game of the season.
The squad showed an incredible attitude from the first whistle, bringing great intensity and maintaining it throughout the game. Goals from David Olaniyan and Caleb Bomah, who both scored twice, along with strikes from Rhys Lynch and Shahzeb Amin, saw Letterkenny United finish the season on a positive note.
There was no individual Player of the Match today, as every player contributed brilliantly and deserved recognition for their performance.
Thank you to Ballyraine for a sporting game, as always. Well done to all the boys on a fantastic season. 🤍🖤💪
Youths
In a busy week of mixed fortunes for our Youths, the team responded well following Monday’s match against Donegal Town with a convincing away victory against a determined Gweedore United side on Wednesday.
Goals came from captain Alex McDevitt, Calum McLaughlin, Darragh Cullen, Darragh Magee and Noah Casburn. A special mention also goes to U16 player Thalji AlDahir, who scored his first Youth goal.
Well done to Jamie Gorman on making his Youth-team debut and stepping up so well.
