DWL: Letterkenny Rovers 1–1 Drumbar United
Letterkenny Rovers and Drumbar United shared the spoils in an entertaining 1–1 draw.
Rovers made a strong start and took the lead when Erin Doherty curled home a superb free kick. The hosts controlled much of the first half, with Amy Moore and Aoiblinn McLaughlin influential in attack, but were unable to extend their advantage as Drumbar United defended resolutely.
Drumbar remained a threat on the counterattack, with Hannah McGowan causing problems on the break. The equaliser arrived in the 63rd minute when Sarah Colhoun found the net to bring the visitors level.
Rovers responded positively and pushed for a winner. Sophie Canning came close when her effort struck the crossbar, while Aisling McGinley was denied in a one-on-one by a strong save from the Drumbar goalkeeper.
Despite creating several chances, Letterkenny Rovers were unable to find a late breakthrough, and both sides took a point from a competitive contest.
