Our U12 girls made the short trip across town to take on Bonagee on a perfect evening for football. ⚽️
It was a closely contested start, with both sides settling in well, but Letterkenny began to create the better chances as the half went on. Their pressure paid off when Nino Imnadze finished calmly to give Rovers a 1–0 lead at the break.
Bonagee came out strong in the second half and put the Rovers defence under real pressure, but the girls stood firm. As Bonagee pushed for an equaliser, Rovers looked dangerous on the counter, making for an exciting and entertaining game throughout.
Standout performances from Ruby Peoples and Emily Eze, with a fantastic team effort all round from both sides. 👏

U12 Crusaders
U12 Crusaders make it two wins from two in the Division One League Cup with another excellent display at Aura against a determined Kilmacrennan Celtic side.
Goals from Blake Watson, Brandon Ndlovu, Shay McLaughlin, Lopsy Adeyemi and Cody McGarrigle capped a fantastic all‑round team performance.
Lopsy Adeyemi took the Player of the Match award after a powerful display that included four well‑taken goals.

Letterkenny Rovers Athletic 1–0 Ballyraine Harps
Division 2 League Cup
Letterkenny Rovers Athletic hosted Ballyraine Harps on a perfect sunny evening for a highly competitive Division 2 League Cup match. Ballyraine started strongly, catching Rovers on the counter-attack on several occasions, but Letterkenny goalkeeper Coalan Duddy was in excellent form and dealt confidently with the early pressure.
Rovers took the lead in the 18th minute when Jamie McConn delivered a dangerous corner and Ryan McLaughlin was on hand to finish from close range. The second half was an intense battle, with both sides fully committed from start to finish. James Gallagher struck the crossbar for Rovers, while Fionn Maguire and Aaron Sabanda both went close to extending the advantage. Ballyraine kept working hard and continued to press right up to the final whistle.
In the end, Rovers held firm to secure a hard-fought victory.
Player of the Match was Nathan Pochylski, who was outstanding at left-back, with goalkeeper Coalan Duddy also producing a superb performance between the posts.
A big thank you to Ballyraine Harps for a top-quality game and to the match officials for their contribution to the evening.

Letterkenny Wanderers 2 – 3 Ballyraine Wanderers
Letterkenny Wanderers kicked off their League Cup campaign at the Aura back pitch in their first competitive U12 match, facing a well-organised Ballyraine side.
Letterkenny opened the scoring with a well-worked move, as Peter Coyle Kelly played a great pass through to Shaun Crossan, who finished calmly. Ballyraine responded strongly and took the lead before the break with two goals.
Ballyraine added a third in the second half, but Letterkenny continued to battle and showed great determination. Oscar Brzdak converted a late penalty to bring it back to 3–2, and the team pushed hard for an equaliser right to the final whistle.

U12s United
Letterkenny United 0–5 Ballyraine
Letterkenny United welcomed Ballyraine to the Aura today in excellent conditions, with the sun shining throughout. The game began evenly, with both teams playing some very good football before Ballyraine opened the scoring on 13 minutes. Two further goals followed on 16 and 21 minutes.
Ballyraine added two more goals in the second half to complete the scoring. United will take valuable lessons from the game and look to build on this performance in the weeks ahead.
There were a number of strong individual displays, particularly from Caleb Bomah, Isaac Joel, Ryan Carey, Ryan Kelly, and Evan Price. Player of the Match goes to Oisin Wethers, who delivered a solid performance at left back.
U14s
U14 Premier League Cup ⚽️
Rovers 1 - 1 Illistrin
Rovers and Illistrin shared the spoils in an evenly contested final group-stage match of the League Cup, played in glorious sunshine at Leckview Park.
Rovers made a strong start and were rewarded after 27 minutes when Elijah Alleyne produced a superb run from the heart of defence before calmly slotting the ball home from the edge of the box to give his side the lead.
Illistrin remained a threat on the counterattack and found their equaliser just before half-time with a well-taken strike from outside the box.
The second half was a tightly fought contest, with neither side able to find a winner. Both teams showed great determination and commitment throughout.
Credit goes to the Rovers players for digging deep and delivering a strong team performance despite having only 11 players available. Illistrin also deserve recognition for their part in a competitive and good-spirited match.
U14 United
Letterkenny U14 United continued their strong start to the League Cup with a 4–1 win over Ballyraine Clarets U14s away at Errigal College (4:15pm kick-off).
In warm and humid conditions, both sides began competitively and were evenly matched in the opening stages. United took the lead in the 5th minute when Evan Shaw Kilcawley delivered an excellent free kick from the right, with Christopher Kral-Kopke finishing superbly on the volley to make it 1–0.
United maintained a positive tempo for the remainder of the half and doubled their lead on 35 minutes. Evan Shaw Kilcawley struck an outstanding effort from distance, finding the top corner to give United a 2–0 advantage at the break.
The second half saw a number of changes, with both teams creating chances. Ballyraine pulled a goal back on 41 minutes with a well-taken finish. United responded well, continuing to press and compete for every ball. Their efforts were rewarded on 43 minutes when Mohammed Sawafta showed great determination in the box to score United’s third.
Shortly after, on 46 minutes, Nathan Ola produced a fine individual effort, dribbling past two players before calmly finishing to make it 4–1.
United saw out the game with strong defensive play, good communication, and excellent teamwork throughout, securing their second win of the League Cup campaign.

Letterkenny Rovers 1 - 3 Raphoe Town
Letterkenny Rovers hosted Raphoe at the Aura Leisure Centre on Wednesday evening in an entertaining contest.
Both teams started brightly, with early chances falling to Aoibhinn McLaughlin for Rovers and Ellen Carlin for Raphoe. The visitors took the lead on fifteen minutes when Saoirse Deasley converted from the penalty spot, and she added a second on the half-hour mark with an excellent strike from distance. Rovers responded well and reduced the deficit just three minutes later, with Amy Moore finishing from close range after connecting with an Aisling McGinley corner.
Raphoe saw plenty of the ball early in the second half, but the Rovers defence of Faye Casburn, Lily Gallagher, Ella Doherty and Cadhla McVeigh remained solid, limiting clear opportunities and protecting goalkeeper Kerry Wade, who organised well throughout. As the half progressed, Rovers grew into the game, with Aoise Diver and Hanna Stolarczyk linking up effectively in midfield.
Rovers pushed hard in the closing stages and created two strong chances from set pieces. Aoibhinn McLaughlin was quickest to react to a loose ball but saw her effort go just wide, while Aoise Diver’s header from another corner drifted narrowly over the bar. With Rovers pressing for an equaliser, Raphoe added a third in added time on the counter attack, with Saoirse Deasley completing her hat-trick with a well-taken finish.
It was a strong overall squad performance from Letterkenny Rovers in a competitive fixture.
U16 Crusaders
Letterkenny Rovers U16 First Division put in a strong performance to secure their first win of the cup campaign against Lagan Harps on a fine evening.
Rovers took the lead in the 1st minute when Coalan Johnston scored from his own half, lifting the ball over the goalkeeper. The second came when Cayden Crossan played a ball over the top for Eddie Coll, who finished well with a chip to make it 2–0. Rovers added a third before half-time following good play down the left by Amini, who set up Cayden Crossan to make it 3–0 at the break.
At the start of the second half, Mark Geraghty scored a superb strike from outside the box to make it 4–0, and added his second minutes later with another excellent effort from distance. Jayden Sweeney rounded off the scoring with two fine goals to make it 6–0.

DONEGAL YOUTH LEAGUE CUP
Illistrin 0 – 4 Letterkenny Rovers
Letterkenny Rovers led 1–0 at the break thanks to a well-taken close-range finish from Yazeen Omer. The team delivered a strong second-half performance, with Caolan Burns adding a second before Cory Oliver made it 3–0 with a low strike from outside the box. Burns then grabbed his second of the game to seal a 4–0 victory.
Overall, it was a solid cup performance.
