Convoy Arsenal 3  -  2 Letterkenny Rovers

U16 Rovers were away to Convoy Arsenal on Saturday evening.
Rovers went 1 up after just 2 minutes when Padraig Murphy scored from a penalty.
Rovers struggled to settle into the game for large parts resulting in Convoy getting into the game and scoring 3 goals. Rovers clawed one further back in the final minute through a Sawyer Campbell header. There was plenty missed chances and some fantastic saves from the Convoy keeper.

Sunday 7th May 2023, 1pm

Letterkenny Rovers 5 - 0 Keadue Rovers.

Goalscorers: Padraig Murphy x 4 and Sawyer Campbell.

Rovers first goal game 27mins in, from a cross by Filip Duraj from the penalty line into the box were it was headed into goal by Padraig Murphy.

3minutes into the second half Padraig Murphy scored from a tight on the left penalty line.

5 minutes later Padraig Murphy completed his hat-trick from a fine strike 20yds out on the right.

On 59 minutes the long was headed towards goal by Ciaran Lloyd only to come off the crossbar. Padraig Murphy was on hand to meet it and stuck it in the net.

61minutes and Sawyer Campbell connected well with the ball on the edge of the 18yd a found the back of the net. 

Keadue continued to fight and had their chances with several very good chances in the last 20minutes but were unable score.

DWL U16s

Our U16 Girls travelled to Gweedore Utd last night. The girls showed their resilience in defending with Amy Doherty excellent in goals. Savanna Keys put Rovers ahead just before half time. Amy Moore was unlucky on a few occasions making runs from deep in midfield chasing the long ball. On 72nd min Gweedore managed to level the score with an Emma Wallace strike. With 3mins remaining Gweedore’s Maria Gallagher beat the offside trap and ran through to score the winner. 2-1 to Gweedore on the night.
