Our U12 girls faced a well-organised and determined Cappry side today. While the scoreline didn’t fall in our favour, the girls showed great heart from start to finish.

There were strong periods in the game where our defence stood firm, demonstrating real commitment and teamwork under pressure.

A special mention to goalkeeper Aoibhe McLaughlin, who showed great bravery and character with a number of excellent saves. Meave McGlynn also had some strong moments, making a positive contribution to the team’s overall effort.

Despite the result, the squad showed plenty of determination and spirit, and these valuable experiences will continue to support their development as players.

Letterkenny Athletic faced Milford Blues in an entertaining and hard-fought contest, played with great intensity throughout.

The first half was very evenly matched, with both sides creating chances but unable to break the deadlock. Letterkenny came closest through Fionn Maguire and Ryan McLaughlin, who both had opportunities, while a solid defensive display kept it 0–0 at halftime.

Milford made a strong start to the second half, taking the lead early with a well-taken free kick from the edge of the box. Letterkenny responded positively, with Ryan McLaughlin testing the Milford goalkeeper on a number of occasions, only to be denied by excellent saves. Fionn Maguire was also unlucky, striking the crossbar.

As Letterkenny pushed forward, Milford capitalised on the counterattack to extend their lead to 2–0. To their credit, Letterkenny continued to battle and create chances, and their persistence paid off when Aaron Sibanda scored from a corner to pull one back.

With momentum building, Letterkenny pressed hard, but the Milford goalkeeper produced several fine saves to maintain the advantage. Milford then sealed the result with another well-executed free kick with around 10 minutes remaining.

In the end, Milford ran out 3–1 winners in an excellent, competitive game of football.

Letterkenny Rovers played their final U16 Prem Cup group game away to Cappry on Saturday evening at Leckview Park. Rovers got off to a great start with Thalji Al Daher making a run down the right wing and then driving a low ball across the box which found its way to Alfie Doherty who delivered a fantastic first time finish to put the ball into the net and put Rovers in front with just 4 minutes gone. Rovers maintained good pressure for the remainder of the half with Thalji and Alfie working well on both wings. Cappry came into the game in the second half and were rewarded when they levelled the score in the 50th minute. The rest of the game remained very tight with both teams struggling to create chances. The game finished level 1-1. This leaves Rovers with 9 points and currently top of the group, but with other teams having games remaining they will wait to see if they have done enough to earn a semi-final spot.
